Dr. Yuan F. Zheng

Founder, ZiiROBOT Mobility

Dr. Yuan F. Zheng founded ZiiROBOT Mobility to move robotics research out of the lab and into everyday mobility. He built the first computer-controlled biped walking robot in the United States, and received the National Science Foundation's Presidential Young Investigator Award in 1987 for his work on robot locomotion and control. He joined The Ohio State University in 1989 and spent his career there as a professor of electrical and computer engineering before retiring. ZiiROBOT's engineering team is drawn from PhD and master's graduates of OSU's robotics lab.
