Our Mission at ZiiRobot: Empowering Independence Through Innovation

At ZiiRobot, we believe that mobility is more than just movement—it’s freedom, confidence, and connection. Our mission is simple but powerful: to empower people with limited mobility to live life on their terms through innovative, reliable, and stylish mobility solutions.

Where It All Began

ZiiRobot was founded in 2017 by Dr. Yuan Zheng, a former electrical engineering professor at The Ohio State University. With decades of experience in robotics and automation, Dr. Zheng saw an opportunity to apply advanced engineering to an industry that was often overlooked—mobility.

He recognized a need for smarter, more thoughtful mobility devices that could truly improve quality of life for seniors, caregivers, and people with disabilities. Too many options on the market were heavy, hard to use, or lacked modern design. ZiiRobot was created to change that.

Proudly Based in Columbus, Ohio

We’re proud to call Columbus, Ohio our home. ZiiRobot is deeply rooted in the spirit of this city—innovative, inclusive, and community-driven. As a company born from Buckeye pride and built in the heart of the Midwest, we carry that same energy into everything we create.

Columbus has shaped not only our headquarters, but also our values. From collaborating with local healthcare professionals to connecting with seniors and mobility-impaired individuals across the region, our mission is inspired daily by the people around us.

Designed for Real Life

Every scooter and wheelchair we build is created with real people in mind. We listen closely to our community—your stories, your challenges, and your needs drive our innovation. Whether it’s a lightweight design that fits easily in a car trunk, or ergonomic features that reduce strain, our goal is always to make your day-to-day easier.

We know mobility looks different for everyone. That’s why we offer a range of options to suit different lifestyles—from indoor maneuverability to all-terrain exploration.

Empowering a Limitless Life

Mobility is deeply personal. Some of our users rely on a device full-time; others need occasional support for fatigue, chronic pain, or recovery. No matter the reason, using a scooter or wheelchair shouldn’t limit you—it should liberate you.

We’re proud to see ZiiRobot users traveling the world, running errands independently, attending family events, and simply enjoying the freedom to move. These moments are why we do what we do.

Looking Ahead

We’re committed to pushing boundaries in mobility technology. That means ongoing research, smarter engineering, and more features that support independence with dignity. It also means listening—really listening—to the people who use our products every day.

As we grow, we remain rooted in our mission: to empower independence through innovation. Because everyone deserves the chance to move through life with ease, confidence, and joy.
